#SevenThingsSunday – Week Four

Much to the amazement of my husband and I, the momentum continues. After last week’s goodbyes to the tools of my former life, this week’s haul is a pot-pourri of items. Variety, after all, is the spice of life!

1. Sell

This little pink bag once accompanied me on night’s out, faithfully holding my lipstick and credit cards. I rediscovered it yesterday when I was clearing out a box on the top shelf of my closet. Sadly, it’s past its own shelf life now.

This is an example of one of my many attempts to find an external passion while I was still working in investment banking. In 2010 I decided neuropsychology might be it – it wasn’t. It took me several expensive textbooks and a class to work that out….

Ah, the roller blades – an example of all-the-gear-and-no-idea! In my life I have tried many sporting pursuits and, to my chagrin, have not been particularly successful at many. However, I always make sure to obtain brand new gear before giving it a go. I am absolutely useless at roller blading – fortunately once you pass 30 years of age you probably want to stop doing this regardless of ability, right? :-)

2. Donate

I gave my cousin’s daughter, who is 13, the choice between this bag and the pink one. She rolled her eyes in disgust at the pink one and chose this little DKNY number instead.

Here lies evidence of my oh-my-god-is-the-world-ending phase. In 2006 I watched a documentary about the Mayan calendar and its ending in 2012. Clearly this was very concerning at that point in time. Not concerning enough for me to read these cover to cover though! We’ll see if someone else in the building feels they need to get educated on the topic as I’ve just left these in our lobby (along with the derivatives books from last week)!
